The following charges and citations were reported by the Robbins Police Department during recent enforcement activity in Robbins. Incidents for the month of February include traffic stops, larceny investigations and other calls for service over a three-week period.
Week 1:
· Christina Henson (traffic stop) – The driver was spotted by Robbins Police Chief Ben Haddock allegedly leaving Black Dog Tavern. “As I was turning, they pulled out,” said Haddock. “After going down Middleton a little way, the driver took a left-handed turn onto the railroad tracks.”
Hensonn was charged with driving while impaired and improper turn.
· Mark Simmons and Gwenn Jackson (traffic stop) – A stop was made for no brake lights. After smelling the odor of alcohol, the vehicle was searched by an officer. Simmons was charged with carrying a concealed gun and a brake light violation, and Jackson is facing charges of possession of Schedule VI, possession of Schedule IV, and possession of marijuana paraphernalia.
Week 2:
· Noni Reeves (larceny) – Reeves is facing charges of larceny, possession of stolen goods, driving while license revoked, possession of Schedule II, and was banned from Carlie C’s.
· Ismael Olivares-Prito (traffic stop) – Olivares-Prito was stopped for a license frame violation. When speaking to officers, he allegedly gave them false information and was charged with giving a fake name to an officer and driving while his license was revoked.
· Rashauna Cochran (traffic stop) – Cochran was pulled over after allegedly almost hitting a police vehicle head-on. Cochran is facing charges of driving while impaired and failure to maintain lane control.
· Dylan Brown (larceny) – The Dollar General manager called the police after observing a shoplifter allegedly stealing multiple packs of beef jerky. Brown was charged with larceny, shoplifting goods, and possession of stolen goods, and was banned from the business.
Week 3:
· Jesus Ramoz-Madoza (traffic stop) – Ramoz-Madoza is facing charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, having a fake license plate, driving while license revoked, operating a vehicle with no insurance, open container, and driving without two headlamps.
· Christopher Lowery (suspicious person) – The manager of Dollar General called police for a person allegedly stealing packs of Laffy Taffy. He was charged with larceny, shoplifting goods, and possession of stolen goods and was banned from the store.
All defendants facing criminal charges are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
