Sheriff announces drug arrests

Two people from Pinebluff are facing several charges after being arrested following a drug investigation.

“On June 15, 2023, Detectives with the Moore County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant in the 100 block of Simmons Lane in Addor,” announced Moore County Sheriff Ronnie Fields. “During the investigation, Detectives located fentanyl, marijuana, items of drug paraphernalia, items of marijuana paraphernalia, and $1,614.00 in currency.”

Quinton McMillan, 58, and Joniqua Core, 41, were each charged with possession with intent to sell and deliver schedule II controlled substance, felony possession of schedule II controlled substance, possession with intent to sell and deliver schedule VI controlled substance, maintaining a vehicle/dwelling place for controlled substances, simple possession of schedule VI controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of marijuana paraphernalia.

Core was also charged with destroying criminal evidence.

McMillan’s secured bond was set at $150,000. Core received a $200,000 secured bond.

Both are due in court on June 29 and are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
