Carthage authorities responded to a single-vehicle rollover accident Monday at approximately 8:45 a.m.
According to authorities on the scene, it appears the driver lost control when he exited Highway 15/501 onto Highway 22 toward Whispering Pines. The Toyota Tacoma crossed the grass median and rolled into a wooded area across the street.
Carthage Fire & Rescue had to remove the vehicle window and assist the driver out of the vehicle. Moore County EMS evaluated the driver. The driver was not transported to the hospital.
All traffic appeared to flow in a normal pattern during the clearing of the scene.
Carthage Police Department was also on the scene.
