injured Pinebluff car crash

Two people were injured in a car crash in Pinebluff early Sunday morning. The single-vehicle accident occurred in the 100 block of Pinebluff Lake Road.

A driver and passenger were heading west when the vehicle ran off the road into a front yard striking and uprooting a tree. 

The Honda sedan continued into a wooded area, crashed into several trees, and ended up wedged between two trees.

The impact with the first tree ripped the driver’s side of the car open, and debris and personal effects were spread over a 50-foot area from the crash site.

The driver’s father arrived on the scene and transported him to the hospital by car. The passenger was located at a house about a mile away when EMS was called for the victim.

The time of the accident or the condition of the victims is unclear.

The N.C. Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of the accident.

Responding to the scene were Pinebluff Fire & Rescue, Aberdeen Fire & Rescue, Moore County EMS, Moore County Sheriff’s Department and the N.C. Highway Patrol.
