A crash in Southern Pines involving a motorcycle and a car left two people injured on Saturday afternoon. The collision occurred at the intersection of W. Morganton Road and Patriot Blvd., around 1:30 p.m., in front of Morganton Park South.
When the Southern Pines Fire Department arrived, they found the motorcyclist still on the ground and both vehicles with heavy damage. EMS transported both drivers to Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst with minor injuries.
Eastbound traffic on Morganton Road was completely shut down, and motorists were rerouted while emergency crews worked.
Southern Pines Police are investigating the cause of the wreck.
Rockwell Towing removed the Ninja motorcycle from the crash site.
