Three individuals from Vass are currently facing multiple drug-related charges.
“On October 4, 2023, detectives with the Moore County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant in the 100 block of Cummings Place in Vass,” said Moore County Sheriff Ronnie Fields in a press release. “During the investigation, detectives located fentanyl, methamphetamine, and items of drug paraphernalia. The search warrant was executed at the conclusion of a drug investigation.”
James Cummings, 65, Grayleigh Scott, 21, and William Cook, 32, were arrested.
Cummings and Scott were each charged with possession of methamphetamine, maintaining a vehicle/dwelling place for controlled substances, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Cook was charged with possession of methamphetamine, felony possession of schedule II controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Fields said all three were held on a 48-hour hold with bonds pending.
Cook was arrested 22 days ago in Carthage on drug charges. Cummings was recently arrested in March and April on drug charges.
All three suspects are due in court at the end of the month and are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
