An accident between an eighteen wheeler and a pickup truck sends one to the hospital Monday afternoon.
The accident occurred at the intersection of Business 1 and 24/27 in Cameron when a pickup truck pulled out from Thomason Road in front of the eighteen wheeler who was traveling south.
Both drivers were out of the trucks when emergency crews arrived, and the driver of the pickup truck was transported by ambulance to FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital with reportedly minor injuries.
The pickup truck had extensive front-end damage with deployed airbags. The eighteen wheeler suffered damage as well. U.S. 1 was closed for about 90 minutes as a result of the accident.
