A new and unique store is opening in Aberdeen on Saturday. After a year-long search for a building and renovation work that took several months, Twigg & Company will open at 10 a.m.

It is a vendor based store that has 85 vendors who offer everything crafty while selling local food and drinks, including Dees Bees honey.

Located at 206 N. Sandhills Boulevard, the building was constructed in 1928 and has a great deal of history including being a Chevy dealer to most recently the Town and Country Antiques.

According to owner, Molly Twigg, 90 percent of all items are handmade and locally sourced. “If you can think of something handmade, we probably have it,” said Molly.

The vendors sell everything from handmade furniture and soaps to paintings and flower arrangements. “It’s like going to a six-day a week open craft show,” said Molly.

The store also sells beer, mostly craft brands that you will not see in the grocery store. Additionally, they offer wine sales, including wine in aluminum cans, if you want to sip a little wine as you shop.

This is round two for Molly as she previously owned a similar store in Georgia. But when her military husband was transferred here, she sold the store. Molly said she has the heart of a vendor and is committed to taking care of her vendors.

Twigg & Co. will continually change the layout and inventory, so it will always be a new shopping experience.

The grand opening will offer in-store giveaways along with free swag bags for the first 25 shoppers. Regular hours will be 10 a.m. – 6 p.m., Monday through Saturday, and they accept credit cards.

The store has been described as walking into Pinterest or Esty. Make plans to check it out for a unique and fun shopping experience.
