On Friday, a car was flipped on its side due to an accident that occurred early in the morning.
The accident took place around 7 a.m. outside Carthage on Highway 22 near Nick’s Creek Greenway and McCaskill Road. The incident occurred in close proximity to road construction.
A vehicle landed on its side close to the woods. The front and side of a minivan suffered significant damage. The highway was full of debris, which included a tire.
Firefighters worked to clear the road by carrying large parts of the vehicles away.
According to the N.C. State Highway Patrol, individuals were transported to the hospital for evaluation.
