A Carthage man is behind bars accused of shooting a teenager in the head in Lobelia Tuesday evening.
Cameron Justice Callicutt, 20, was charged Wednesday with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury, according to a news advisory from the Moore County Sheriff’s Department.
The 16-year-old male victim was airlifted to an area trauma center and “is expected to recover from his injuries.”
Callicutt’s bond was set at $200,000. He has a Jan. 15 court date.
