Moore County Sheriff Ronnie Fields announced the arrest of a Moore County resident following a joint investigation by the Moore County Sheriff’s Office and the North Carolina SBI Cyber Crimes Unit.
On Feb. 18, forensic specialists executed a search warrant in the 4800 block of Beulah Hill Church Road, West End, in response to a cyber tip received from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
The investigation led to the arrest of John Chisholm, 28, of West End, who has been charged with three counts of second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor and three counts of third-degree sexual exploitation of a minor.
Chisholm was taken into custody and transported to the Moore County Detention Center, where he was committed under a $50,000 bond pending his first court appearance on March 13 in Moore County district court.
“The Moore County Sheriff’s Office remains an active participant in the North Carolina Internet Crimes Against Children (NCICAC) Taskforce, working diligently alongside state and federal partners to protect children from online exploitation and abuse,” said Fields in a press release.
