Driver transported after striking pole in Eagle Springs

A crash in Eagle Springs sent one woman to the hospital and left a power pole broken on Thursday night. The single-vehicle accident happened in a curve on Eagle Springs Road at Eaglewood Lane just after 9 p.m.

Emergency units arrived on scene to find a Honda passenger car off the roadway, a power pole broken over the front of the car, and low-hanging lines brought down by the crash. The force of the impact downed the power pole and resulted in damage to the front end of the vehicle.

According to authorities, the female driver was the only occupant of the vehicle at the time of the crash. Though she was able to walk around, she was transported to Moore Regional Hospital.
