A fire destroyed a shed near Vass on White Rock Road Saturday evening.
Cypress Pointe Fire and Rescue stated on its Facebook page they were advised it was an outside fire that was upgraded to a structure fire once the outside building caught on fire.
Crains Creek Fire Department and N.C. Forest Service was also called to the fire.
“Upon the arrival of Engine 211, they reported a fully involved out-building with the fire spreading into the woods,” said Cypress Pointe Fire and Rescue. “Personnel quickly started a fire attack on both the building and woods. The building was completely destroyed, a vehicle was damaged, and the woods fire was contained quickly.”
The fire is under investigation by the Moore County Fire Marshal’s Office.
