Irma appears to be heading up the west coast of Florida and eventually into Georgia, Alabama and into Tennessee.

It’ll weaken soon after going into Georgia and Alabama, but we’ll still feel its effects here in the Fort Bragg area come tomorrow. Scattered showers will start tomorrow morning and winds pickup-up throughout the day. Winds will gust up to 40 mph and rain fall is expected to be between 2-4″.

Fort Bragg is operating on a normal schedule, including all CDCs, schools and yes the gyms, according to Fort Bragg, NC. The Exchanges and commissaries and their restaurants are also operating normally. The Exchange reports they have plenty of fuels and they and the commissaries are continuing to get restocked.

Please continue to follow weather reports because Irma could change course. We’ll keep you posted on any changes. Stay safe.
