Four-way stop coming to Magnolia Road, Chinquapin Road intersection

The Village of Pinehurst will be installing stop signs Friday afternoon at the intersection of Magnolia Road and Chinquapin Road, officially converting the intersection into a four-way stop.

As part of the Downtown Stormwater Improvement Project, new pavement markings and striping for the intersection and along Magnolia Road are scheduled to be completed next week, weather permitting. At the same time, the project contractor will be addressing several pavement-related items identified in the project area as part of the final construction work.

The four-way stop is intended to improve safety, traffic flow, and pedestrian awareness in the downtown area as the Village completes the final stages of the infrastructure improvements.

Motorists are encouraged to use caution when traveling through the intersection and to be alert for the new traffic control pattern.

The Village appreciates the patience of residents, business owners, and visitors throughout construction and looks forward to completing the final elements of this important project.
