A man is facing several charges after he was arrested for allegedly selling drugs from a Southern Pines barbershop.Â
Southern Pines Deputy Chief of Police Charles Campbell said in a news release that a joint operation resulted in the arrest of Chavez Fox, 43, of Southern Pines.
“On December 6, 2024, members of the Southern Pines Police Department’s Investigation Division and the Moore County Sheriff’s Office executed search warrants at 214 W. Morganton Road, Southern Pines, N.C. (Fox Cuts Barber Shop) and 1650 W. Massachusetts Avenue, Southern Pines, N.C.,” said Campbell in the release. “The search warrants in this case were obtained based on a narcotics investigation conducted by both agencies. Located during the execution of the search warrants were 80.1 grams of suspected cocaine, 991.5 grams of marijuana (2.1 pounds), and two dosage units of Oxycodone, and two firearms.”
Fox is facing charges of trafficking cocaine, possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine, felony possession of cocaine, possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana, felony possession of marijuana, simple possession of marijuana, simple possession of Schedule II controlled substance, two counts of maintaining a vehicle/dwelling place for the sale of controlled substances, two counts of possession of a firearm by a felon, and two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia.
Fox was placed at the Moore County Detention Center under no bond.
