West End man arrested after drug investigation

A 71-year-old West End man was arrested after a drug investigation led to the seizure of methamphetamine, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia, according to the Moore County Sheriff’s Office.

Sheriff Ronnie Fields said detectives conducted an investigation Sept. 8 at a residence in the 1500 block of Murdocksville Road in West End.

During the investigation, detectives reportedly seized suspected methamphetamine, marijuana, and multiple items of drug paraphernalia.

Daniel Blue, 71, of West End, was subsequently arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine, simple possession of a Schedule VI controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Blue was committed to the Moore County Detention Center under a $5,500 secured bond. He is scheduled to appear in Moore County District Court on Sept. 30.

All charges are allegations, and Blue is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
