Frank is a handsome and well-behaved redtick coonhound, estimated to be around 1.5 years old. He has been neutered and is up to date on all of his vaccinations. Frank was originally adopted from the local shelter but had to be surrendered because he turned out to be a bit more energetic than his adoptive family expected. Thankfully, they stayed in touch with Paws of the Pines Rescue throughout the process to ensure Frank’s safety.

Despite his high energy level, Frank is very friendly and gets along well with other dogs and children. However, he can be a bit rough with smaller animals and may mistake them for toys. For this reason, Paws of the Pines Rescue does not recommend placing Frank in a home with small dogs or cats. He has a strong prey drive but does not display any aggressive behaviors toward humans.

Frank may be a hound, but he is not as vocal as most of his breed. However, his sense of smell still takes precedence, so a securely fenced yard is necessary to allow him to explore and play safely. He enjoys interacting and playing with his foster siblings, and although he can be quite busy, he eventually settles down. Upon arriving at his foster home, Frank was delighted to discover the comfort of a bed.

Overall, Frank has an amazing disposition and would be a great companion for any hound enthusiast. He is eager to find a forever home where he can receive the love and attention he deserves.
