No injuries in Aberdeen drive-by shooting

A drive-by shooting occurred late Saturday afternoon in the 100 block of Sandy Springs Road in Aberdeen, just off Pee Dee Road. Aberdeen Police Chief Brian Chavis reported that the house was struck four times in the garage area, but fortunately, no one was home.

The incident was reported around 4:30 p.m., prompting a rapid response from Aberdeen officers and detectives for further investigation. Chief Chavis stated that the shooting is believed to be an isolated incident with no threat to the public.

Authorities are looking for a silver-colored four-door sedan with noticeable damage to the front right-hand side that left the scene at a high rate of speed.
