Local fire departments are participating in “The Nozzle Forward” course.
The class is being hosted by Southern Pines Fire & Rescue and Sandhills Community College. Southern Pines Fire & Rescue posted pictures on social media from their first day of their 22 hour class.
According to Southern Pines Fire & Rescue, “The Nozzle Forward class is to help craft more efficient engine companies by increasing the individuals’ competency with their tools and expanding on the conceptual aspects of the fire environment. The course integrates the three major components of engine company work; fire behavior, hose management, and fire attack.”
