Clifford E. Pocock, 92, was called home to Glory on May 26, 2023 after a short battle with cancer. He was the son of Clifford H. and Agnes (Knicker) Pocock, of Springfield, Illinois where he spent his early years. Cliff married Bonnie Catherwood in 1959 and they were married for 43 wonderful years. During that time, Cliff joined the Air Force and completed a four-year stint, one of them in Korea. After his Air Force time was complete, Cliff got a job as a pilot with American Airlines. Cliff and Bonnie raised two children together, Glenn Pocock and Heather Fisher, living a part of that time in North Carolina. Bonnie predeceased Cliff in 2004. He met and married Virginia Burns while living at Word of Life in Florida and enjoyed 18 more years of love and companionship. Cliff enjoyed travelling, but no matter where Cliff lived or visited, his faith was firmly rooted in his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Cliff is survived by his children, Glenn and Heather, his granddaughter Holly Fisher, his wife Virginia Pocock & relatives in Illinois.
A funeral service will be held on June 3 in Connecticut. Burial service will take place at the Grace Chapel Cemetery in Sanford, North Carolina, Wednesday, June 7th at 11:00 am.
