Elizabeth Overby Kiser, 88, met Jesus, February 7, 2020 at Pinelake Nursing Center, Carthage, NC, surrounded by her family. 

Funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM, Sunday, February 9, 2020 at Crossroads Baptist Church,  with the Reverend Curtis Barbery and Reverend Darrell Garner officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 2 PM.  The body will lie in state from 2 to 5 PM at Kennedy Funeral Home on Saturday, February 8, 2020.

Elizabeth was a native of Moore County, born September 3, 1931 to William Howell and Ressie Mae Kiser Overby. She was a graduate of Elise High School and worked for many years in the textile industry. Elizabeth loved the Lord, reading her Bible and attending church as long as she was able.    She enjoyed caring for her home, her garden and especially her roses. Elizabeth served Moore County children, as a Guardian Ad Litem. 

Elizabeth is survived by daughters: Marsha Kennedy Phillips and husband Wayne, of Goldston, Ellen Rogers and husband Randy, Brandon, FL, Melanie Kennedy Barrientoes, Indianapolis, Ind.; sons: Anthony Kennedy, of Robbins, Billy Farrell Kiser, of Robbins; 9 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; 6 great great grandchildren; sister: Lucille Wallace, of Robbins; many nieces, nephews and friends.  

The family would like to thank the staff and nurses at Peak Resources Pinelake for the loving care shown to Elizabeth during her stay there.
