Frederick Douglas Steadwell, son of Douglas Frederick Steadwell and Phyllis Brown Steadwell was born on August 24, 1989 at First Health Moore Regional Hospital, Pinehurst, NC.  He entered into eternal rest on March 26, 2020, a man loved by many far and near.

Frederick attended J. Glenn Edwards Elementary School, East Lee Middle School and Lee Senior High School in Sanford, NC and after moving back to Moore County, he attended and graduated from Union Pines High School in 2008.  He attended Mt. Olive AME Zion church as a child.  His mother had him in many activities; flag football, T-ball, Girls and Boys club just to name a few.  Frederick was a very good artist, winning awards as a child. He also loved to fish and has spent time over the years fishing with his Mother, Grandmother, Uncles and many cousins.

Frederick started working part time at McDonald’s at the age of 16 years old.  He was bitten by the bug and this became his second home.  He worked very hard at McDonalds and worked his way up to General Manager.  He was very good at what he did. Frederick was a faithful and dependable employee.    He was compassionate and made his customers feel safe and comfortable.  He worked for McDonald’s for 15 years until his health failed him.  He worked at four stores.  Frederick was a great provider to his family.  During his time at McDonald’s, he also worked part time for a short while at Family Dollar in Carthage, NC.  Frederick proved his leadership up until his last days, making sure things were in order for his Mother to handle after he departed.  Not only did Frederick take care of business, but he also wanted to make sure that his spiritual life was in order.  The night before he expired, he gave his life to Christ.
