Juanita McGowan Robertson, 90, of Southern Pines, NC passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 18, 2019 Sanford Health & Rehabilitation Center.
Juanita was born October 1, 1928 in Valdosta, GA to the late Clifton D. McGowan and Mary Lineberger McGowan. She grew up in Valdosta and moved to NC after marrying J.W. Robertson. She enjoyed traveling, sewing and entertaining. She very commonly had church friends over for gatherings in her home. She was always doing things for others. She dearly loved her family, her church and her friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband J. W. Robertson and son Jimmy Robertson; and son-in-law Robert Gordon.
She is survived by her daughter Mary Alice Gordon, 4 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren, and many other loved ones.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 22, 2019 at First Baptist Church, 700 N Sandhills Blvd, Aberdeen, NC 28315 at 1:00PM with the Rev. Mike Branscome officiating. There will be a visitation from 12:00 -1:00PM and burial following the services at Bethesda Cemetery in Aberdeen.
