Raymond “Ray” Castillo, a resident of Pinehurst, NC and retired employee of Pinehurst Resort for 30 years passed away peacefully on March 3, 2024 in the presence of his loving wife and children.
Ray was a devoted and loving father, husband and friend. Ray was enthusiastic about the sport of golf and created fond memories with friends and family on the golf links serving as an unofficial mentor, coach, and cheerleader. Ray was a dynamic and charismatic leader and champion for those in need. Ray was active in the local Catholic Parish and leaves behind a legacy of faith, joy, love and peacemaking. Ray’s loving wife Linda and children, Ray, Jr., Diane, Paul, Vivian, Tony, Athena, step-son Wayne Sands, Jr., grandchildren, and great-grandchildren will continue to live out his legacy of positivity, faith, joy and love.
His funeral service will be conducted at 2 PM Friday, March 8, 2024 at Boles Funeral Home Chapel in Southern Pines. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 2:00 PM before the service. Burial will follow.
