Pres Ostert, Pinecrest High School rising senior, has been selected to represent the Sandhills region in the Powerade State High School Baseball Tournament beginning June 13 at UNC Greensboro. This eight-team event is an opportunity for high school athletes to gain tournament experience and a showcase their skills in front of college and professional scouts.

Each player was evaluated after a tryout in front of a high school coaches from our region.   

Pres was a starting pitcher for Coach Jeff Hewitt on the 2018 Patriot team that finished with a Sandhills 4A Conference best 12-2 record and went on to win the conference championship. He finished the season with 3 wins and 1 loss with 27 strikeouts, and batting for a .241 average.
