Robbins man arrested on drug, weapon charges

A man from Robbins is facing 13 drug charges and one weapon charge while being held at the Moore County Detention Center on a $125,000 secured bond.

“On August 18, 2023, Detectives with the Moore County Sheriff’s Office conducted a drug investigation in the 900 block of Monroe Street in Carthage,” said Moore County Sheriff Ronnie Fields in a news advisory. “During the investigation, detectives seized methamphetamine, fentanyl, cocaine, marijuana, items of drug paraphernalia, items of marijuana paraphernalia, and a firearm.”

Blake Garner, 20, was arrested on charges of trafficking in methamphetamine by sell, trafficking in methamphetamine by delivery, trafficking in methamphetamine by transport, trafficking in methamphetamine by possession, possession with intent to sell and deliver methamphetamine, felony possession of methamphetamine, possession with intent to sell and deliver schedule II controlled substance, felony possession of schedule II controlled substance, felony possession of cocaine, maintaining a vehicle/dwelling place for controlled substances, simple possession of schedule VI controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana paraphernalia, and carrying a concealed gun.

The suspect is due in court on Sept. 7 and is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
