Warrants were issued for larceny and possession of drug paraphernalia. Smith was also banned from the location.
Ethan Rush: A Robbins Officer witnessed an ATV with no plate on the road on Hwy 705 and Hwy 24/27. Rush allegedly failed to stop for the officer and got away. After an investigation, it was determined on July 17 that Rush was allegedly the driver, and he was charged with fleeing to elude arrest, resisting a public officer, reckless driving to endanger, aggressive driving, driving left to center, reckless disregard of the public, failure to heed lights and sirens, ATV prohibited on roadways by owner and operator.
According to Chief Haddock, if the suspect in this situation were to stop, and there were no warrants or issues, the driver would have more than likely been given a citation and the opportunity to have someone pick up the 4-wheeler.
David Hagen – Traffic stop: Hagen is known to officers for having a suspended license, so he was stopped and charged with DWLR.
Week 3: July 15 – 21
Angela Berry: Management of Carlie C’s called in an alleged larceny in progress. Authorities charged Berry with larceny and possession of stolen goods.
Angela Berry – Traffic stop: Officers pulled Berry the following day. The officer called in for assistance, and multiple units responded because Berry was allegedly aggressive to the officer. Berry had new warrants for another incident. She was also charged with resisting a public officer, possession of drug paraphernalia, maintaining vehicle/dwelling place with controlled substance, possession of scheduled II, and misdemeanor child abuse. Berry was charged with child abuse because of the suspected controlled substance being easily accessible to the child.
Amanda Smith: Known to officers for active warrants. After pulling her over, officers asked Smith if she had anything illegal before conducting a pat down after she denied having anything. After conducting a complete search at the jail, officers found a white crystallized substance in her purse that was believed to be methamphetamine. Because it was inside jail, she also was charged with possessing a controlled substance on jail premises.
Christopher Brock and Savannah Williams – Traffic stop:
Brock was charged with possession of heroin, possession of schedule II (fentanyl), expired registration, DWLR, possession of drug paraphernalia, no inspection, failure to carry a registration card, failure to wear a seat belt as a driver, and license plate frame/cover violation.

After reviewing recordings, Sturdivant was accused of stealing multiple things from the store. He was charged with felony larceny by employee, possession schedule II, possession with intent to sell and deliver schedule II, possession schedule VI, possession of schedule III, and possession of drug paraphernalia. They also banned him from the store.
“The public’s safety is our number one concern in town,” said Town Manager Clint Mack. “If you can’t go out in the street safely, you can’t do anything right. We are dedicated to equipping and training our department. We have started to introduce the steps of replacing old equipment with new equipment. In addition to our $10,000 bodycam grant, the town provided a matching amount of $10,000. So we will provide officers with bodycams very soon.”
The two demo bodycams that are being used currently have already proven to be effective in certain situations, according to Chief Haddock.
Defendants facing criminal charges are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
