Robbins’ arrest numbers remain in the twenties for the second month in a row as Chief Ben Haddock said he is focused on getting crime and drugs off the streets. Robbins officers arrested individuals after conducting 10 traffic stops, making nine drug arrests, one DWI arrest, and several other types of arrests. As the number of arrests remains around two dozen, the amount of drug arrests dropped in April.
“April has been a busy month, but we are dedicated to serving and protecting the great town of Robbins,” said Haddock. “I would like to emphasize that most of these arrests are from people passing through and do not live within the city limits of Robbins. I remain transparent and very determined to keep the public aware of what is happening. I am very proud of the work the officers put in daily and the selfless dedication that each of them brings daily.”
On April 1, police pulled over Jamielle Winston and arrested him on charges of:
-Possession of schedule VI controlled substance
-Possession of marijuana paraphernalia
-Driving while license revoked
-Cited for speeding and window tint
On April 1, Guillermo Pulido-Arzate was arrested on charges of:
-Ordinance violation
-Cruelty to animals
On April 3, law enforcement pulled over and arrested Brian Monroe, of Carthage, on charges of:
-Possession of methamphetamine
-Drug paraphernalia
-Driving while license revoked
Also in the vehicle was Carole Pennington, who was charged with resisting a public officer.
On April 3, Jean Gray was arrested on charges of:
-Open container of fortified wine
“Jean Gray came in to do business in the town hall and had a tumbler full of fortified wine. She spilled it going out,” said Haddock.
On April 4, Robbins Police pulled over a tractor, and two individuals were charged.
Blake Garner:
-Possession of Scheduled II (fentanyl)
-Possession of Methamphetamine
-Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
William Brown:
-Possession of heroin
-Possession of drug paraphernalia
“Brown was driving the tractor, while Garner was standing on the bush hog going down the middle of the road. After pulling over, the tractor officers found the drugs on them. Brown had a bag of (suspected) heroin on him,” said Haddock.
On April 5, James Cotton was pulled over and arrested on charges of:
-Three counts of firearm by felon
-Maintain vehicle with controlled substance
-Three counts of concealed gun
-Possession of Methamphetamine
-Possession of schedule II (fentanyl)
-Possession with intent to sell/manufacture/deliver
-Possession of schedule III
-Driving while license revoked
-Expired registration
-Possession of marijuana up to 1/2 oz.
-Possession of marijuana drug paraphernalia
-Possession of drug paraphernalia
-Simple possession of schedule III
On April 6, Cornelio Estela was pulled over for careless driving, said Haddock. A motorist called 911 about the vehicle, and officers made the stop. Estela was arrested on charges of:
-DWI
-Three counts of misdemeanor child abuse
-Possession of open container
-Three counts of child not in proper restraints in rear seats
On April 7, Cirilo Barrera was walking down Highway 705 and was stopped and charged with a local ordinance of possession of an open container. He has since pleaded guilty and paid a fine.
On April 8, officers responded to a citizen assist of larceny and breaking and entering. The owner of a vehicle reported that he wanted his vehicle returned to him. The following were charged with several charges:

On April 12, police stopped Brigett Lyston for a window tint violation and gave her a citation. During the stop, the passenger, Dylan Lyston, got out of the vehicle and ran, said Haddock. He has outstanding parole warrants, and Robbins Police has issued charges and a warrant for resisting/delaying/obstructing a police investigation.
On April 13, James Roberts was pulled over for not displaying tag lights. During the stop, officers discovered Roberts had a revoked license, and they detained him. It was discovered he had a parole warrant; he identified himself as someone else, according to Haddock, and was charged with identity theft and resisting/delaying/obstructing a police investigation.
On April 14, officers received a call of a suspicious person. Haddock said Thurmon Caddell gave responding officers a false name who actually had a parole warrant. On the way to the detention center, he gave officers his real name. The police charged him with identity theft and resisting/delaying/obstructing an officer investigation.
On April 15, a vehicle was pulled for a fictitious plate. Ivey Gillis, of Bennett, was arrested for charges of:
-Possession of methamphetamine
-Possession of schedule II (fentanyl)
-Possession of heroin
-Maintain a vehicle of controlled substance
-Possession of drug paraphernalia
-Simple possession of scheduled VI
-Possession of marijuana up to 1/2 oz.
-Possession of marijuana paraphernalia
-Misdemeanor child abuse
-Driving while license revoked

-Order for arrest
On April 16, Scottiee Crabtree was pulled over and served an order for arrest and citation issued for driving while license revoked.
On April 18, an investigation was issued on a suspicious vehicle on Mechanics Hill Road. As the officer approached, he saw open containers, said Haddock. Aaliyah Black, of Eagle Springs, was arrested for charges of:
-Driving after consuming under the age of 21
-Provisional DWI
On April 19, officers recognized Armando Robinson who had an order for arrest.
On April 19, Susan Smith was charged with assault by strangulation and simple assault.
On April 25, Jimmie Price was pulled over due to officers knowing he did not have a license. Last month, authorities charged Price with DWI, so he was charged under the conditions of driving while his license was revoked for DWI.
On April 26, officers arrived at the Robbins Sweepstakes regarding a call of larceny of a cellphone. During the investigation, officers found that Tyler Page was identified and charged with:
-Two counts of misdemeanor larceny
-Two counts of possession of stolen goods
On April 28, officers were requested by the Moore County Sheriff’s Office to assist with a female in distress. Officers recognized a man in a stopped vehicle who had warrants. After removing the passenger from the vehicle, he admitted to having a gun on him, according to Haddock. After being placed in handcuffs, five grams of methamphetamine were found on him. Debin Brower, of Star, also had warrants for arrest. He was arrested on charges of:
-Firearm by felon
-Concealed gun
-Possession of methamphetamine
-Possession of schedule II (fentanyl)
-Possession of drug paraphernalia
All information was provided by the Robbins Police Department. Defendants facing criminal charges are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
