Seven Lakes homeowners find nails scattered in driveways

The Moore County Sheriff’s Office recently opened an investigation in the Seven Lakes community in West End.

The president of the Seven Lakes Landowners Association sent an email to residents stating that she and the treasurer were “targeted” last Friday evening or early Saturday morning when someone scattered hundreds of nails, screws, and J-hook screws across their driveways.

“We believe these attacks were carried out by a reckless and cowardly person, or persons, as a response to the $100 dues increase recommendation sent by email to residents Friday afternoon,” the president wrote.

The email stated the board members take their responsibilities seriously and will not be intimated.

If you have information about this case, please call the Moore County Sheriff’s Office at 910.947.4444.
