Storm blows steeple off Mt. Pleasant Christian Church

A strong storm cell caused heavy damage in the Lobelia area of Vass on Saturday evening.

The steeple atop Mt. Pleasant Christian Church was blown off, causing damage to the roof of the church.

Tree limbs fall to the ground and on top of vehicles during a storm on June 11.

About half a mile away, trees fell on several vehicles parked at a house on McPherson Road, and another tree was blocking one lane of the road.

Traffic cones surround downed tree branches from a storm. 

Highway 690 was covered in downed branches between Morrison Bridge Road and McPherson Road.

Crews were seen in the area clearing roadways and fixing downed power lines.
