Vehicle upright on 'front bumper' after Cameron crash

A driver was transported to the hospital following a single-vehicle crash Sunday morning on Marks Road in the Cameron area, according to Crain’s Creek Fire Department.

The crash was reported at 8:34 a.m. on Jan. 11. Responding crews arrived to find a vehicle leaning against a tree and nearly standing upright on its front bumper.

The driver was already outside the vehicle and was ambulatory when firefighters arrived.

After being evaluated at the scene, the driver was transported to the hospital by Moore County EMS with what appeared to be non-life-threatening injuries.

Due to concerns about vehicle instability and emergency equipment positioned in the roadway, Marks Road was temporarily closed while crews worked the scene.

No details regarding the cause were given.

Responding agencies included Crain’s Creek Fire Department, Moore County EMS, and the North Carolina State Highway Patrol.
