Arrest Warrants Issued for Common Law Robbery, Assault with a Deadly Weapon Inflicting Serious Injury, and Conspiracy to Commit Robbery
The Southern Pines Police Department announces Arrest warrants for Common Law Robbery, Assault with a Deadly Weapon Inflicting Serious Injury, and Conspiracy to Commit Robbery.
On Saturday, June 3, 2017, at approximately 12:15 p.m., the Southern Pines Police Department responded to a reported robbery at 399 NW Broad Street. Upon the officer’s arrival, a male victim was located at the intersection of NW Broad Street and E. Vermont Ave. The victim, who was airlifted to a regional medical facility, reported a known assailant had robbed him and fled the scene dragging the victim under his vehicle. The victim, who is listed in stable condition, reported that no weapons were used during this robbery, and that this was not a random act of violence.
The Southern Pines Police Department’s Investigations Division has obtained warrants for Stephen Edward Bender, 23 years old from 141 New Hope Circle, Carthage, North Carolina for Common Law Robbery and Assault with a Deadly Weapon Inflicting Serious Injury.
Warrants have also been issued for Kristopher Dean Onorati, 32 years old from 1493 Joel Road, Carthage, North Carolina for Conspiracy to Commit Robbery and Assault with a Deadly Weapon Inflicting Serious Injury.
