82nd Airborne Division hosts All American Week

The 82nd Airborne Division will host current and former Paratroopers, their families, and the local community during All American Week, Sept. 26-29, 2022.

All American Week gives Paratroopers, past and present, a chance to celebrate their service in America’s Guard of Honor and remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice. The following events are open to the public and media.

Throughout the week, Paratroopers will compete in a series of competitions to see who can claim the title of best of the best. Paratroopers will compete in boxing, combatives, soccer, flag football, functional fitness, tug-o-war, and a culinary competition.

The 82nd Airborne Division Run on Sept. 26 at 6:30 a.m. on Long Street will feature the entire Division in an esprit de corps event for current and past Paratroopers and their families.

The Division will host former members at the Old Timers Breakfast in the 2nd Brigade Combat Team’s Falcon Cafe on Sept. 26 at 8 a.m.

On Sept. 27 at 7 a.m., the Division Chaplain will host a prayer breakfast at the Iron Mike Conference Center.

The 82nd Airborne Division Memorial Ceremony, an event that honors those Paratroopers who made the ultimate sacrifice in combat or during training in the past year, is Sept. 27 at 12 p.m. at the 82nd Airborne Museum.

The Division hosts the All American Week 10-Miler at Simmons Airfield featuring individual, team, and unit awards on Sept. 27 at 6:30 a.m.

Paratroopers and their families are invited to participate in the Family Fun Run on Sept. 27 at 7 p.m. on Ardennes Street. The public is also invited from Monday through Wednesday to the U.S. Army Advanced Airborne School for the opportunity to about Airborne operations and exit the 34-foot Tower, which simulates exiting a military aircraft during an Airborne operation.

The inductees for the 2022 All American Hall of Fame Class will be recognized during a ceremony occurring at the 82nd Airborne Division’s Hall of Heroes on Ardennes Street, on Sept. 28 at 11:30 a.m.

On Sept. 29 at 10 a.m. on Pike Field, the Division will conduct its first Division Review with the entire Division in many years. During the Review, the entire Division will be arrayed in formation on the field and conduct a pass and review in front of a crowd of thousands. The Division will also conduct its awards ceremony to recognize the Jumpmaster of the Year and the All American Week competition winners.
