Moore County Sheriff Ronnie Fields is warning citizens of multiple scams that have recently been reported to the Sheriff’s Office.
In recent reports, citizens are contacted and told they are speaking with a member of the Moore County Sheriff’s Office and demanding payment of monies in order to avoid arrest warrants. This is a scam.
Law enforcement agencies will never demand money from a citizen to avoid arrest.
