Ellerbe man jailed on $100K bond on 10 charges

Moore County Sheriff Ronnie Fields reports that a 28-year-old man from Ellerbe was jailed this week on a $100,000 secured bond and faces 10 charges.

Fields said the investigation began on March 17 when his department received a report that someone allegedly broke into a vehicle in Cameron.

Investigators arrested Demarcus Campbell 24 days later on April 10.

He is facing charges of one count of felony breaking and entering a motor vehicle, one count of misdemeanor theft from a motor vehicle, three counts of felony identity theft, two counts of felony financial card theft, one count of felony financial card fraud, and two counts of misdemeanor financial card fraud.

He is due in court on April 12 and is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
