Area fire departments respond to head-on crash

Westmoore Volunteer Fire Department, Robbins Fire & Rescue, High Falls Fire & Rescue, Moore County Sheriff’s Department, N.C. State Highway Patrol and Moore County EMS responded to a single-vehicle crash near Robbins on Friday, Dec. 10.

First responders were called around 10 p.m. to Brower’s Mill Road near Highway 24/27, according to Westmoore Volunteer Fire Department on its social media page.

The call came in as a possible pin-in.

A passenger car veered off the road and hit a tree on someone’s property. One person was taken to the hospital by EMS, according to Westmoore Volunteer Fire Department.

The car suffered heavy front-end damage with parts of the car scattered in the yard.
