A person was trapped after their car flipped over onto its side in a two-vehicle crash in Aberdeen on Tuesday morning.
A Chevy Equinox and a Hyundai sedan were involved in a collision on U.S. 1 at the entrance of Dogwood Drive across from Harbor Freight. The crash left the SUV on its side, and the sedan sustained heavy front-end damage.
Sources on scene reported to Sandhills Sentinel that the driver of the SUV was temporarily trapped. Aberdeen firefighters cut out the windshield to remove the driver.

Air care had been placed on stand-by but was canceled once the driver was removed from the SUV. The drivers of both cars were transported to the hospital by Moore County EMS.
At the time of publication, it’s unclear what caused the crash.
Aberdeen Police were also assisting at the scene of the wreck.
