Today U.S. Representative Richard Hudson (NC-08), the representative of Fort Bragg, released the following statement congratulating Maj. Gen. Laura J. Richardson, the next deputy commanding general of U.S. Army Forces Command and the first female Army officer to officially serve in this role:

Richardson has the exact qualifications, qualities and distinguished career to lead this crucial command.
