Today, U.S. Representative Richard Hudson (NC-08), representative of Fort Bragg, released the following statement on the deployment of 1,500 soldiers from the 82nd Airborne Division to Afghanistan to assist in the fight against ISIS:
“The deployment of 1,500 soldiers from the 82nd Airborne Division to aid in the fight against ISIS underscores the absolutely vital role America’s Global Response Force plays in the defense of our nation. With grateful hearts, Renee and I are praying for these soldiers and their safe return home. I am confident they are committed, well-trained and ready to answer the call of duty for our country. We also remember the families they leave behind and the sacrifices they too make every day.”
