Today, Thursday, June 15, 2017, the Southern Pines Police Department takes a moment to remember Lt Stanley Klingenschmidt. Today marks the 4 year anniversary of the untimely passing of a coworker, friend, and family member.
Lieutenant Klingenschmidt was killed in a motorcycle crash while escorting other motorcycle riders who were participating in a Special Olympics benefit ride in 2013.
Southern Pines Police Department wants the community to remember, as you go about your day today, take a moment and be thankful for the loved ones in your life.
I know for certain that we never lose the people we love, even to death. They continue to participate in every act, thought and decision we make. Their loves leaves an indelible imprint in our memories. We find comfort in knowing that our lives have been enriched by having shared their love.
