Bobby Lee Ellerbe was born in Richmond County NC, on May 5th, 1940, to the late Ella Chambers. He departed this life on Tuesday August 2nd, 2022 at his home in Addor NC. He was married to the late Betty Jean Ellerbe and became a member of Free Liberty Church.  

He was also preceded in death by his mother Ella Chambers, two sisters, Brenda Baldwin and Lucille Ellerbe; one brother James Ellerbe (Lunchman); one daughter, Gail Bethea; one Grandson Demario Core; one stepson Robert Stone (Gloria) and a very special friend Annie Lee Stone.  

Bobby Lee was a STRONG, SMOOTH, SHARP, DEDICATED, DETERMINED, CALM, SARCASTIC, CONFUSION-LESS FATHER.  He LOVED his FAMILY.    

Bobby Lee was an equestrian and an arborist. He loved working as a horse trainer, landscaper, in textiles and caddying.  His employment expands through several states from Yonkers NY Raceway, Buffalo NY Raceway, Pinehurst Race Track, Century Curtains in Pinebluff, NC, Fayetteville Manufacturing, Bradford Tree Service in Pinebluff, NC, Aurora Farms in Pinebluff, NC Ellery Home style in Lumber Bridge, NC and several other locations.  He retired from all employment at the age of 72.  

Bobby Lee loved to work hard and accomplish every goal that he desired.  His hobbies was simply talking to his friends, being sarcastic and enjoying laughter.  He LOVED listening to music, dancing and watching the horse race on TV. Everyone who knew “Bobby” loved his personality.  

He leaves to cherish his wonderful memories: three Daughters, Regina Jackson (Jefferson) of Charlotte, NC, Sherry Jones (Greg) of Pinebluff, NC, Veda Ellerbe of Rockingham, NC; his bonus children, three stepdaughters, Debra Sinclair (Glenn) of Raeford, NC, Rachel Dupree (Floyd) of Addor, NC, Tammy Baldwin (Anthony) of West End, NC; one stepson (Gene Stone) of Ashley Heights, NC; ten grandchildren,

twelve bonus grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren,  fourteen bonus great- grandchildren; his niece, Jameka Baldwin of Rockingham, one nephew, Martin McQueen (Victoria) of Laurinburg, NC; and a host of cousins, family members and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, August 9, 2022 at Elizabeth Chapel Freewill Baptist Church in Addor, North Carolina with Rev. Carl Core officiating.

Jones and Little Funeral Home is assisting the family.
