Carol Ann Burns Stowe, 87, of Southern Pines, NC passed away on Tuesday, June 29, 2021 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst.
She was born May 4, 1934 in Melrose, MA to the late Norman R. Burns and Eleanor Noyes Burns.
Carol is survived by two sons; David Raymond and Derryl Raymond; grandchildren Tara Hughes, Katrin Franklin, Patric Ray Raymond and Corey Raymond; a brother Norman “Billy” Burns; and sister Nanette Yelle.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by and by her husband Tony Stowe; two daughters Rosslyn Penney Raymond and Elise Rowe; and grandson Kyle McRae.
Carol was a jack of all trades and master of many. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, a nursing assistant, sail boat operator, and mechanic just to name a few. She was a member of the Brunswick County VFW and was lovingly called the “shell lady” at Holden Beach, a place she loved to spend time.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 7 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Boles Funeral Home, 425 W. Pennsylvania Avenue, Southern Pines, NC 28387. A graveside service will be held on Friday, July 9, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Fort Bragg Main Post Cemetery, Watson Street, Fort Bragg, NC 28310.
