Obituary Carrie Frances McCann Aberdeen

Carrie Frances McCann, 58, of Aberdeen, NC passed away on Tuesday, November 3, 2020 at her home.

Carrie was born in Cambridge, MA on August 23, 1962 to the late Richard and Johanna Hanson Brown.

Carrie moved to St. Petersburg, FL during her childhood and graduated from Dixie Hollins High School. She also attended St.Pete College and University of South Florida where she studied social work. Carried loved gardening and feeding her hummingbirds. She was an avid reader, enjoyed horseback riding and competed nationally as a pool player. Carrie was passionate about animals, especially pitbulls and had dedicated time to fostering pitbulls in need of homes. Her children and grandchildren were the light of her life, and she loved spending every second she could with them. Carrie faced many challenges in life, including chronic illnesses, but always faced them with grace, strength and dignity.

In addition to her parents, Carrie was preceded in death by her sister Tina Nastasiak.

She is survived by her husband, Richard McCann; children Jeremy Stanton (wife Melissa), Donnie Johnson (wife Erika), Jessica McCann and Casey Mabe (husband Tyler); grandchildren Marshal Johnson, Taylor Stanton, Derrick Stanton, Eva Johnson, Blake Johnson and Holden Mabe. She is also survived by her nephew Justin Nastasiak, niece Bella Capucci and her best friend Kathy Solera.
