Mr. George E. Briddell, Jr. of Pinebluff passed away on Tuesday, July 30, 2019, in the FirstHealth Hospice House at the age of 75.
George was born on January 11, 1944, in Stamford, CT to the late George E Briddell, Sr. and Susan Bureski Briddell. George proudly served in the United States Air Force where he served as a military police officer. Upon leaving the military, George worked for over 30 years at Fidelity bank in Connecticut. He was a very humble man with his deep faith in God. George being a great conversationalist was said to be a true gentleman and his laughter was contagious. He enjoyed traveling, especially to Hawaii, and referred to it as his “island paradise”. George also enjoyed watching animals in his spare time. Upon his arrival in Pinebluff, he cared for his late mother, Susan Briddell and his sister, Georgia Reale. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
He leaves behind his niece, Christine Zoppi Timmons and her husband, Scott of Pinebluff as well as a nephew, John E. Zoppi of Pinehurst.
The family will receive friends on Friday, August 2, 2019, between the hours of 2 pm & 3 pm at Crumpler Funeral Home, 40229 US 1 Hwy S, Aberdeen, NC 28315.
A graveside service will be held in the Pinebluff Cemetery following the visitation.
Care of the family is entrusted to Crumpler Funeral Home of Aberdeen.
