John retired from the Town of Southern Pines Water Department after more than thirty years, and he was always known to everyone as Bill, “the Egg Man”.
Survivors: Children, George Daniel Jones (Janet), Dorothy Reva Goins (John), Clara Marie Jones McIver (Jerry), and Melissa Ann Jones Peoples (James); brothers, Frank Jones and Thomas Jones (Geraldine); sister, Geneva Cobb; 18 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and other relatives.
