Mario Gonzalez, 39, of Aberdeen, went home to his Lord on Saturday, June 9th.
A memorial service will be held at the Boles Funeral Home, 425 W. Pennsylvania Ave., Southern Pines, Saturday June 16th at 7:00 PM. The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the service from 5:00 – 7:00 P.M.
Mario was born in Fayetteville on Christmas Eve to Helga Perez and Ronald Gonzalez. He had graduated from Pineforest High School, class of 1996. Mario had work for many local area businesses including Gamestop, Edible Arrangements, Black & Decker as a machinist, on Post at Ft. Bragg and most recently as an Assistant Manager at the Sandhills Cinemas.
Mario is survived by his parents Helga and Larry Perez and Ron and Joyce Gonzalez. He was the brother of Sandra Elam and her husband Craig. Mario was the uncle of Tyler, Sierra and Samuel Elam. He leaves behind his close friends Ben Ledworth, Kevin Macari and their four legged companion, Loki.
