Mr. Robert “Bobby” Hill, 75, of Aberdeen, North Carolina was called to eternal rest on Wednesday, February 19, 2020 at 7:15 a.m. at the FirstHealth Hospice House of Pinehurst, North Carolina. He was born on July 16, 1944 to the late John and Mary Kay Hill of Aberdeen, North Carolina. Mr. Hill attended Berkley High School. He was very athletic and well-rounded in all sports, but baseball was his passion. He was the manager of the Midway Girls’ Softball Team and played for the Raiders and Los Dominicos of Brooklyn, New York. He also has a passion for golf and was employed as a caddie at Pinehurst Resort for 54 years.

Mr. Hill served faithfully at Hallies Chapel Deliverance Center of the Midway Community in Aberdeen, North Carolina, where he gave his life to Christ, and later became a deacon. He was married to Irene Hill and through their union they were blessed with one daughter, Arlene Hill. He was a loving, caring husband, father, grandfather and friend.

He leaves to cherish his legacy of love: his wife; Irene Mae Hill of Aberdeen, North Carolina, his daughter; Arlene Smith (Frank) of Aberdeen, North Carolina, four sons; Eric (Yvonne), David (Darlene), Isaac (Christine), and Lorenzo, one sister; Eva Malloy, ten grandchildren, three of the home; Shalena, Nujanya Brown (Nick) and Cortilous, seven great- grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.

The funeral will be held at 1:00 pm on Sunday, February 23, 2020 at Hallies Chapel Deliverance Center in Aberdeen, NC. Visitation will be held at the church one hour prior to the funeral.
