William “Danny” Tate, 63, passed away on August 23, 2018 at his home in Whispering Pines.
Born on September 11, 1954 in Moore County, North Carolina to the late Randall “Rank” Tate and June Frye Tate. Danny worked for many years at the Aberdeen Packing Plant. He was also a meat cutter for many local grocery stores in Moore County. He recently enjoyed working as a driver for airport transportation.
Danny was a member of the Aberdeen Jaycees and loved beach music. He had also received numerous awards from the American Red Cross for donating blood throughout the years.
He is survived by his daughter, Kasi Caddell and her husband Scott; four grandchildren, AmyMadison, Garrett B, Greer and Elise; step-daughters, Lisa Ross Clevenger and Kellie Ross Coldren; also survived by special friends, Gene Currie and Molly Wilson.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, August 26, 2018 from 3:00-5:00PM at Boles Funeral Home in Southern Pines with a memorial service at 3:30PM. The family will also receive friends and family at the home of Kasi and Scott Caddell on Saturday, August 25, 2018.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Moore County Humane Society PO Box 203 Southern Pines, NC 28388.
