One person was airlifted with serious injuries after a head-on collision in Aberdeen Sunday. The accident occurred on Keyser Street in front of Aberdeen Primary School around 2:00 p.m.

A Honda Accord and a Chevy S10 pickup collided. The passenger of the truck was transported by EMS to the Aberdeen Fire Station on Hwy 211 where a waiting helicopter transported the patient to the UNC Trauma Center in Chapel Hill.

Two other victims were transported to Moore Regional Hospital by EMS for treatment of their injuries.

Keyser Street was shut down while emergency crews worked. Aberdeen Police were on scene and will be investigating the cause of the accident.

Responding to the scene were Aberdeen Fire & Rescue and Moore County EMS.
